Bold Colours & Contrasts
While white remains a classic choice, bold hues are taking centre stage. “Clients are being braver with colour. Green is still strong, along with richer tones,” says Mel. “Dark tones like charcoal and navy are also on the rise, especially when balanced with warm timbers.”
Burnished metals are also gaining popularity, as is stainless steel, now appearing beyond benchtops onto vertical surfaces.
Seamless Integration
Clean lines, push-to-open cabinetry, and integrated appliances remain popular. However, handles are making a stylish comeback, adding personality and interest to minimalist designs.
Smart Storage Solutions
Efficient living and tailoring cabinetry to individual needs are key. Think hidden pantries, inner drawers, appliance cupboards, smoothie stations, and tech integration like USB-C ports built into stone surfaces. “Drying cupboards in laundries are also in high demand,” adds Mel.
Statement Stonework
Bold stone benchtops are making waves. Natural stone remains highly sought after, although alternatives are growing in popularity.
