Geelong’s Livingetc adds a touch of glam to this Western Beach home.
Livingetc is a luxurious furniture shop and interior design collective based in Belmont, Geelong. The spacious showroom is filled with a bespoke collection of furnishings, lighting and homewares. A team of passionate designers are on hand to greet you and help you with all your home styling needs.
A huge drawcard to choosing your furniture and homewares through their store is, they offer a professional consulting service. While you are most welcome to take your plans or photos in store to have this take place, they also offer the consultations in home, which is exactly what happened with these Geelong based clients. Having an in home consult not only allows the team to get to know you and your style, but here they can really appreciate the space, the lighting and the overall feel. The aim is to have the clients’ own style and individuality reflected throughout the home.
Arriving at this stunning waterfront property, Mel instantly knew a seamless look would compliment the amazing views from the lounge room. This room has huge aluminium doors opening to an east facing balcony which overlooks Western Beach.
With some renovations in progress and a new kitchen on the horizon, Mel sat down with the clients to discuss what they really wanted out of their home and came up with a design brief. Mel worked with them to choose pieces to really tie in with the colour palette, drawing inspiration from the surroundings; sea blues, greens and golds would definitely do this home justice.
The kitchen, designed and built by the highly skilled staff at SCLK (Scotts Country Look Kitchens), consists of beautiful grey waterfall benches, cream cupboards and a black statement range hood with mirrored glass splash backs; which creates an amazing reflection of the view and natural sunlight. They wanted the kitchen to flow through into the dining, which would then extend on to the comfortable living space. The attention to detail by the team at SCLK is second to none and made the furniture pieces effortless.

The stunning black ribbed dining table and green textured dining chairs make a statement joining the spaces perfectly. The custom fabric corner sofa was an obvious choice, placed strategically on the beautiful emori sea rug, with a glass coffee table, to really absorb those breathtaking views. The look was completed with cushions to tie back to accents in the rug and artwork, and a range of accessories including candles, vases, pots and foliage that blend right in.
